Selkirk Abbey beers are currently available in our tap room and at restaurants and bars in Idaho, Washington and select accounts from Pennsylvania to Virginia.

As of June 26th 2013 we have begun bottling and our bottled beer will be arriving in stores shortly.

Deacon

Belgian Style Pale

Hops and grains from the great Northwest, Belgian yeast and Idaho's best water combine to make this smooth, dry Pale Ale. Excellent with a meal or simply on its own this delicious, crisp little crowd pleaser is a house favorite.

Infidel

Imperial Belgian Style IPA

Unbowed and unrepentant, this free spirit makes no apologies and asks for no forgiveness. Infidel is an imperial Belgian style IPA that sets the standard for the style. Its rich satisfying flavor of spicy citrus, pine and grassy earthiness are carried by a malt bill and abv big enough to run with it.

St. Augustine

Rye Season

The archetypical saison will let the yeast talk over the malt and hops. We just thought that Rye might have something to add to the conversation. Listening closely it seems to say: “I belong here” and we agree.

Belgian Style Quad

Selkirk Abbey's 10° quadruple, 2014 release, was made with authentic Belgian malt from the region's most respected maltster. This added touch of authenticity brings us closer to our goal of brewing the truest representation of the style. Rich malt and dark fruit notes combine with warming alcohol and leave with a soft longing finish. This beer is best when served in the company of friends.

Guilt

Imperial Belgian Coffee Porter

Our 2013 homebrew contest had 34 entries. This beer won. One sip will tell you why. We were happy to enter it as our Pro-Am beer at the Great American Beer Festival. We very proudly use coffee from our neighbor, DOMA coffee roasting company, in this beer.

Selkirk Grace

Scottish Ale

The Selkirk Grace is a prayer traditionally offered before the soup course at a Burns Dinner, a night of revelry in celebration of the poet, Robert Burns and all things Scottish. Our own ties to the land of thistle & heather run deep, so we are pleased to offer our own interpretation of the classic Scottish Ale. Slàinte!

Afterlife

Session IPA

Big beers in hot weather makes us feel like zombies, maybe it does that to you too. So we figured we'd try something a little more approachable for summer. Afterlife is our solution. Belgian Style

Rich but gentle malt takes the lead, ahead of noble hops with their delicate spice notes in this mahogany hued ale. Ancient in origin, the abbey dubbel was all but lost until revived during the Napoleonic era. Today it has become the quintessential Belgian style.

Abbey Strong Dark

The 2015 release of our abbey strong dark is very exciting for us. Like its cousin the abbey style dubbel, the origins of the abbey dark strong are lost in the distant past. It is likely that a beer was brewed for the Lenten season that was richer and more nourishing than the table beers normally brewed by the monks of the middle ages. The prevailing theory is that such a beer is the predecessor of the modern abbey style dubbel and dark strong. Selkirk Abbey's 12° is our take on this modern classic. Eminently rich and inviting, 12° has resinous fruit notes, with deep toffee and caramel. The layers of seemingly endless malt yield ever so slightly to allow hints of Tabaco and leather in the finish.

Saint Joseph

We love what we do and we love all of our beers, but none as much as the beer you now hold. From concept to execution Saint Joseph was the result of passionate inspiration. Little things like the selection of the yeast and specialty grains were a source of great joy. BBL Aged Saint Augustine

Barrel Aged

9:30 on a weekday…and the power went out. Thank God we weren't brewing. Nothing to do now except maybe try the Rye Whiskey released earlier this morning from Dry Fly. "Wow, this is great. Let's do some boiler makers with our rye saison." A couple drunken hours later...the idea to barrel age Saint Augustine was born. We kept the aging to a minimum to preserve the integrity of the season but left it in just long enough to impart some Dry Fly deliciousness and smooth oak. This is our first barrel aged beer and rest assured it will not be the last, not by a long shot. We had been long considering which of our beers and whose barrels to use first, Dry Fly being the top contender for barrels from the start, when divine providence stepped in and helped us make the final decision.

Octavian

Imperial Quadruple

Octavian is a beer whose concept is lost in the haze of celebration and merriment. The logic, such as it was, was to make a double quadruple. The math leading inexorably to the only name worthy of such strength and nobility, not to mention numerical value: Octavian, the first Roman emperor. The recipe development was surprisingly easy. We would use too much of the best of everything that makes Belgian beers great, we are American after all. The only thing that eluded us was a style designation; a double quadruple makes no sense in brewing terms. The answer was hiding in plain sight. The beer's name held the answer.
