Octavian is a beer whose concept is lost in the haze of celebration and merriment. The logic, such as it was, was to make a double quadruple. The math leading inexorably to the only name worthy of such strength and nobility, not to mention numerical value: Octavian, the first Roman emperor. The recipe development was surprisingly easy. We would use too much of the best of everything that makes Belgian beers great, we are American after all.
